As a faithful subscriber to CK since day 1! Yes, mean day 1!
I was shocked to have a phone call from some company hired by them asking me why I didn't want to renew my subscription.
It has been several weeks since I had the phone call but it made me think.
They have no clue.
To help you out LISA:
Hi Lisa-
I thought I would write you a quick note. I received a phone call yesterday asking me about my subscription to CK. I thought instead of yes or no you might find it more helpful to hear why.
Here is my list of WHY:
1. Advertising is down. I am a new product junkie. I love seeing what is new and going to the stores to buy it.
2. I don't want to read why all your hand picked people scrap their garbage cans. I want to see NEW faces...not your friends.
3. Too many idea books. Every month you are coming out with new idea books by your friends. Not interested in seeing the same
4. I am not interested in buying your QVC pimped products.
5. Digital--don't forget your roots.
You picked a digital SOY.
Out of 550+ entries, you picked a digital one. How is that supporting your advertisers or your readers. That have been with you for over 10 years? I understand digital is here. I get it. However, have an article here and there. Look at companies like the Gap...they lost their market because they were not true to their brand.
So Lisa, I am not subscribing anymore because I am not supporting someone that doesn't support me. I am a paper scrapper that wants paper advertisers.
With paper ideas by paper scrappers that are talented and aren't on your payroll.
